- Meet Gillian -

Hello there and Welcome!

My name is Gillian Klein, and I just wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about myself.

My biggest pleasure in life right now is being a stay-at-home mom and contributing the best way I can to my two beautiful little boys. Sometimes I think that I have three sons, and I call my third one my husband!!!  All kidding aside, he is the most amazing man, husband, and father to our sons, and are grateful every day for the Blessed life I have been gifted. My husband, Jacob is an army veteran who has worked hard to become an equipment, maintenance superintendent for a large construction company. His job moves around to all different job sites, and this has allowed us to travel and see the country. The freedom that our lifestyle provides allows me to share my love of creating and blesses me with the ability to put smiles on people’s faces.

In my daily life, I tend to lean towards being a perfectionist and have dabbled with the idea of diagnosing myself with OCD over complicating decisions.! While I’m learning that perfectionism is a fallacy, I strive more and more to embrace being perfectly imperfect and role model integrity mixed with reality to my boys. With that said, you can rest assured that I deliver a product that allows me to sleep at night.

While I am currently earning my degree in parenting toddler boys, 201, I also have 3 degrees: Mathematics, CAD – Computer-Aided Design, and Manufacturing Engineering. My husband’s hard work makes it possible for me to stay at home and raise my boys, so I have chosen not to use my degrees in the traditional sense. But the many other instances in life, these skills have proven to be transferable and what I love to do and that is how RED143 was born. Every mom needs an outlet, and this is mine!

What you can expect from me: If you know exactly what you want, I can replicate it. If you just have an idea, then I can run with it. Either way, you will receive multiple mockups for your approval and will be included as part of the process. I guarantee a product that you will love and that will last.

The Story of RED143

What is RED143 and what does it mean?

Well Rustic Element Designs, LLC represents our family as a whole.

We are a patriotic family that loves our country. We are no BS kind of people that tell it like it is and want to be told the same. We believe in a power greater than ourselves and know that we are not in control of this life, so we are buckled in and trusting the path that we are being led down.

The RED143 family supports, appreciates, and cherishes our military, police, firefighters, and anyone willing to step up and do the next right thing. We hunt, ride motorcycles, drive fast and enjoy the occasional adrenaline rush! We support the 2A and cherish and uphold the U.S. Constitution. RED143 respects different opinions and will never expect you to change yours, so we ask, don’t expect us to change ours. We are trailblazers, not followers and we are not afraid to stand on the hill alone if it means protecting our values. The designs we create are for those who share in those values. If you don’t like what we have, feel free to scroll past as we won’t be offended.

So why 143? Well, that is a deep one. If you are of the Gen Z, Elder Millennials or even the Boomers you may remember owning and using a Pager as a form of communication! If you didn’t ..then the Google definition for “143” says it is code for, “I love you”, especially used on pagers back in the 1990s.

On June 15, 2020, at 1:43 pm the leader, icon, teacher, adventurer of our family, my grandfather, John K. Parker, passed away. He had been diagnosed with stage IV Pancreatic cancer just 6 weeks before. Those 6 weeks were cherished, and he was surrounded by those who loved him most. I was pregnant at the time with the first boy to be born into our family in 39 years, but I wasn’t due until August. Our hearts were broken that he wasn’t going to be able to meet this little boy, but we knew he was present at his birth since this strapping little baby was born at exactly 1:43pm on August 18th.

On the day we lost my grandfather, at the very moment of his passing, my uncle looked at the clock and said it’s 1:43 and my grandmother said….” He’s saying I Love You!”. When Jase was born and my husband informed me that he was 8 lbs. 14.5 oz., 21 in. and came into the world at 1:43pm…. It was very clear that Great Grandpa John was present. It was then that 143 became a symbol of sorts or rather a sign for our family.

Is R.E.D. just the initials for Rustic Element Designs? Not in the least bit! My grandpa was a Los Angeles Firefighter for 30 years and was retired at the time of his passing. My grandpa died a hero, not just my Hero, but a Hero to many. He loved guns, motorcycles, long distance riding, cars, 4x4ing, camping…. He was just an all-around American man that lived in the moment. He was a veteran of the Navy and had the discipline to show for it. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it but, knock you off your feet if you tried to take it without asking.

Most of the men in my family were in the military and I was always brought up to respect their sacrifices, cherish our freedom and be grateful for those willing to fight for it. I’d like to say we are a military family and will always support our troops! The American Flag and the Green, Blue and Red lines run deep. None of the men in my family consider themselves heroes, they just say “I just do what’s right and necessary.” That is a true hero!

So back to the meaning of R.E.D. – Remember.Everyone.Deployed, the RED line for my grandpa and Rustic Element Designs.

That’s our story and we are sticking to it!!
